Today is a VERY special day

Happy Birthday Julian-001

Today Julian turns 9!  I can hardly believe it, he is growing up so darn fast.

Let me tell you about my Julian because think he is rather amazing.

He is so very loving and he is also rather chatty.

He loves to come home and kick off his shoes in the living room and fling his socks onto the floor because he likes to be barefoot whenever possible.  I have found socks; under the china cabinet, under the sofa, in the fruit bowl (eww) and tucked behind the DVD player.  Ah, it drives my crazy.

I think he has GIANT feet, by the way.  Sometimes we call him BIG FOOT or FLIPPER to which he says “I am going to be REALLY big like my daddy”.

He just loves his Daddy.

He is a hoarder of toys and always has to carry a few with him wherever he goes.

He is the master of sound effects because each toy has its own voice and when he plays it is rather entertaining!

He loves chicken noodle soup and will eat it for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Mac and Cheese, Hot dogs without the bun, chicken nuggets and sausage pizza are his favorites.

He lives on orange juice and chocolate milk.  Every night he likes hot tea with honey before bed time, isn’t that rather fancy?

He wears his heart on his sleeve because he loves quickly, easily and hard.

If you ask him “Does my butt look big in these jeans?” be prepared for a honest answer because Julian tells ya like it is.

When he grows up he wants to be a police officer because he wants to be a hero like Batman or Spiderman.

I think my son is so very brave and confident because despite the many obstacles he has faced in his little life he always pushes though with persistence and determination.

And finally my son is so very proud of who he is.  He freely tells others that he has Asperger’s Syndrome and when they don’t know what it is he completely explains it with such pride.  He is proud of the fact that he has a step mom (who I think is just lovely) and two homes and a big family that adores him.

Our plans for today are to play in the snow and spend a lot of “Mommy and Me” time together.  It is going to be a wonderful day!
